Kush is a particular variety of cannabis that descends from the Hindu Kush mountains. This mountain range spans the Afghanistan-Pakistan border and is one of the few geographic regions where the cannabis plant grows natively. The indica-dominant kush strains have strong genetics and usually exhibit some of the following attributes: deep green colas and leaves with hints of purple, dense and chunky buds, and an earthy smell. These kush strains are typically shorter and squatter than other varieties of cannabis, but they make up for it in density and resin production.
